You have a leak! Now what?

Your initial reaction is to contact 3 contractors, have them inspect your roof and give you 3 bids, right?  That is certainly one way of going about it. What if they don't have experience using the correct material. Are they certified in that material? Do they perform the work or sub it out? How many different recommendations do you think you will get?

Another option is to call a GC, architect, or consultant which will obviously add to the overall cost as these are paid services.

What about calling a manufacturer directly? Yep, that will work too. Which one? do you know what material is currently on your roof? Do you know if they have the best product to fit your needs?
